Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Friends Club?
The Friends Club is a social event concept designed to help people meet new people and build real friendships in a relaxed, structured environment. It is not a dating platform. The focus is on social connections and friendships — but even if no friendship develops, you’ll still have a great time with meaningful conversations and nice encounters.
Who are these events for?
These events are for anyone who feels like meeting new people — whether you’re new in a city, started a new job or studies, want to expand your social circle, or simply feel like you’d enjoy more real-life connections. You don’t need any specific background or personality — just an open mind.
Is this a dating event?
No. There is no dating and no romantic setup. It’s all about friendship and meeting people in a relaxed, social way.
What is the event like?
Our events are designed to make meeting new people feel easy and natural, always with a focus on friendship and real-life connection.
Most events follow a structured format where you start with 1:1 conversations and then continue in small group conversations. Light icebreakers are used throughout to help break the ice and make everything feel relaxed and not awkward. Some events may have a different format, such as creative or interactive workshops — this will always be clearly explained in the event details so you know what to expect.
The goal is always the same: to bring together people with similar intentions and create a comfortable, respectful space for making new friends. After the official programme, you’re free to stay, keep talking, or leave whenever you like.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes, you’ll need a ticket in advance. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If it’s fully booked, you can join the waiting list.
How do I receive my ticket?
After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket details. No physical ticket is required.
What payment methods are accepted?
Accepted payment methods depend on the booking system used (e.g. credit card, TWINT, or other online payment providers shown at checkout).
Where do events take place?
The event location is listed in the event details whenever available. If it isn't published there, you'll receive it with your registration confirmation at the latest, for organisational and privacy reasons.
Do I need to arrive on time?
Yes, we strongly recommend arriving on time. Each event starts with a structured program. Late arrival is possible, but you may miss parts of the experience.
Can I come alone?
Yes — lots of people come alone. It’s actually designed that way — so you can easily meet new people, even if you don’t know anyone beforehand.
Do I need to be extroverted?
No. The events are designed for all personality types, including introverted participants. The structure helps make interaction easy and natural.
What happens if the event is cancelled or changed?
If we ever need to cancel or make a significant change to an event, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
In that case, you’ll of course receive a refund or be offered alternative options.
Can I cancel my ticket?
If your plans change, that’s totally fine – just keep in mind the following:
-
Up to 24 hours before the event: Tickets are generally non-refundable, but depending on availability and whether we can fill your spot (e.g. through a waiting list), we may offer a transfer, credit, or another solution. You’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another person — just let us know in advance.
-
Less than 24 hours before the event or if you don’t show up: Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds or transfers, as we have already committed resources and prepared your spot.
-
If we cancel the event: Of course, you’ll get a full refund.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes, ticket transfers are possible. Just reach out to us in advance so we can confirm everything for you.
What happens if I am late?
No worries at all – you can still join the event. Just keep in mind that the program might already be in progress, so you may miss the introduction and first part of the structured activities.
And of course, you’re also free to leave earlier if you need to.
What if the event is fully booked?
If the event is sold out, you can join the waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we’ll let you know right away. And if there’s a specific event you really want to attend, feel free to reach out to us — we’ll see what we can do for you.
Are photos or videos taken?
Depending on the event, we may take photos or videos for documentation and marketing purposes (e.g. Instagram), so more people with a similar mindset can discover our events.
If you don’t want to appear in any photos or videos, just let us know before or at the start of the event – we’ll of course respect that.
What behaviour is expected?
We expect respectful, appropriate, and considerate behaviour at all times. We reserve the right to remove participants from the event in case of inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy and only used for event organisation, communication, and ticket management.
