TERMS & CONDITIONS – THE FRIENDS CLUB

Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all registrations, ticket purchases, and participation in events organised by The Friends Club.

By registering for, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Services

The Friends Club organises social events and experiences designed to encourage human connection and friendships. Details of each event (date, time, location, and content) are published on our website or the respective event page. We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to the programme for organisational or safety-related reasons.

Conclusion of Contract

A binding contract is formed once a ticket has been purchased or a registration has been confirmed between the participant and The Friends Club. We reserve the right to refuse registrations for objective reasons (e.g. capacity limits, safety concerns, or organisational reasons).

Prices and Payment

All prices are stated on the respective event page. Payment is processed via external payment or booking providers (e.g. Eventfrog or similar platforms). Depending on the provider, their own terms and conditions may also apply. We do not store any payment data (e.g. credit card information).

Participation Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet all applicable requirements (e.g. age restrictions, if specified). We reserve the right to exclude individuals from participation if they violate event rules or compromise safety.

Cancellation by Participants

As these are events with fixed dates, there is no statutory right of withdrawal.

Cancellations are handled as follows:

  • More than 24 hours before the event: A transfer to another event, credit, or another solution may be granted on a case-by-case basis and subject to availability, especially if the reserved spot can be filled by another participant (e.g. through a waiting list).

  • Less than 24 hours before the event or no-shows: No refunds are possible.

Cancellation or Changes by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events for important reasons, including but not limited to:

  • insufficient number of participants

  • organisational reasons

  • safety concerns

  • force majeure

In the event of cancellation by us, we will either offer a full refund of the ticket price already paid or an alternative participation in a replacement event. Any further claims are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Liability

The Friends Club is only liable for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

We exclude liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, or loss of personal belongings.

Participation in events is at the participant’s own risk. The Friends Club accepts no liability for interactions, conversations, or relationships between participants that occur during or after events.

Code of Conduct at Events

Participants agree to behave in a respectful, appropriate, and safe manner towards all other individuals.

We reserve the right to exclude participants from events in case of inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour. In such cases, no refund will be granted. The organiser’s decision is final.

Photos and Videos

During events, photos and videos may be taken for marketing and communication purposes (e.g. social media, website). Participants will be informed on-site. If a participant does not wish to appear in photos or videos, they may inform us at any time during the event. This will be respected.

Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

​

Final Provisions

Swiss law applies.

The place of jurisdiction is Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland, to the extent permitted by mandatory law.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
